F.A.Q.

Do you really need all the documents that you are requesting?

Not necessarily. Often a plan can be easily completed without supplementary documents like tax returns. However, these documents can serve as a valuable check to make sure we have a full picture of your financial situation. Ultimately, the more information you provide us, the more confident we can all be in the results.

How am I supposed to know what my retirement spending will be? It’s so far in the future.

An excellent point. All financial planning projections will be subject to change over the years. However, there are ways we can make an intelligent guess at future needs. We can discuss these techniques during our initial consultation or at any point during the process.

What happens if my situation changes? Is the plan wasted?

Not at all. Plans are designed to be updated every three-to-five years OR when there is a material change in circumstances. The plan is there to help support your life goals, not dictate them. When things change, let us know so we can keep your plan current. Updates are offered at a significantly reduced cost.

What does IMR stand for?

IMR is short for In Medias Res, which is Latin for “in the middle of the story”. Because that’s where we meet you – in the middle of your story.
